Now the idea for a food blog wasn’t that spontaneous, since Deanna has thought about this for quite some time. After venturing out to the U.S. for the first time in 2016, she had the invaluable privilege of meeting a fine fellow – such as myself – that was barely cultured enough to know where every single restaurant in a 25 mile radius was, but not enough to know where the infamously recognized island-country-city-state of Singapore is located.

Nearly 3 years later, I have attempted to educate Deanna on the delicacies found within the art of Southern homestyle cuisine, such as the world-class puréed nut spread with a grape relish reduction with a loaf of brioche bun, conveniently nicknamed “peanut butter and jelly sandwich”. The infamous and piquant sauce dubbed “Barbeque (BBQ)” was a culture shock for Deanna since nearly everything came drizzled with this mystic chocolate-colored reduction. The white and spotted condiment made of buttermilk aioli (ranch dressing) also made Deanna’s list of questionable substances in the States.
